Eldoret Tragedy: Man Dies After Wife Allegedly Stabs Him in Domestic Dispute

Detectives in Uasin Gishu County have launched investigations into a fatal domestic incident that left a 30-year-old man dead following a suspected altercation with his wife in Langas, Eldoret.

The victim, identified as Boniface Masiva, succumbed to a stab wound sustained during the early morning incident on March 18, 2026.

According to police reports, officers responding to the case visited a local hospital where they found Masiva’s lifeless body lying on a bed with a deep stab wound to the right thigh—an injury authorities believe led to excessive bleeding.

Preliminary investigations indicate that Masiva had been involved in a domestic dispute with his wife at their home in the Kisumu Ndogo area before the situation escalated into violence.

During the altercation, the woman allegedly stabbed him with a knife.

Family members rushed both the victim and the suspect to hospital in an attempt to save his life, but Masiva was pronounced dead on arrival.

The suspect, who reportedly sustained minor head injuries during the incident, was treated and later discharged. She has since been taken into police custody as detectives continue to piece together the circumstances surrounding the fatal confrontation.

Masiva’s body has been moved to the mortuary, where a post-mortem examination is expected to provide further insight into the cause of death.

Rising Concern Over Domestic Violence

The incident adds to a growing number of domestic-related fatalities reported across the country, raising fresh concerns over escalating violence within households.

Authorities continue to urge couples to seek peaceful conflict resolution and report disputes early before they turn deadly.
