Love Triangle Turns Deadly in Kisumu as Two Are Killed in Knife Attack

A quiet night in Obunga slums, Kondele, descended into sheer horror after a suspected jealous lover allegedly tracked down his girlfriend and brutally killed her alongside her alleged secret partner in a chilling knife attack.

The suspect, known only as “ABOY,” is said to have followed the woman under the cover of darkness, reportedly driven by suspicion and rage over a suspected love affair.

According to preliminary police findings, the suspect stormed into the man’s house where the two were believed to be together, confronting them before unleashing a violent attack that residents describe as sudden and merciless.

Witnesses say the victims attempted to flee for their lives, but the attacker relentlessly pursued them, stabbing both multiple times. Their desperate attempt to escape ended tragically just a few metres from the house, where they collapsed and died from their injuries.

The male victim has been identified as Omondi Jaalego, while the woman, Trizer, is believed to have been romantically involved with both men—an entanglement investigators say may have triggered the fatal confrontation.

The brutal killings have sent shockwaves across the densely populated Obunga neighbourhood, with residents describing the incident as one of the most disturbing cases of domestic-related violence in recent times.

Police officers who responded to the scene moved the bodies to the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital (JOOTRH) mortuary as investigations intensified.

The suspect remains on the run, with detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) launching a manhunt to bring him to justice.

Authorities are now appealing to members of the public to share any information that could lead to his arrest, warning that the suspect may still be dangerous.
