HEADLESS FEMALE SECURITY GUARD FOUND IN NAKURU QUARRY AS POLICE TRACE SUSPECT TO KAKAMEGA

Nakuru County — Detectives are investigating a chilling murder after the headless body of a female security guard was discovered dumped in a quarry in Bahati, Nakuru County, in a case that has sent shockwaves through the local community.

The victim has been identified as Jackline Awuor, a security guard employed by Protective Custody Security Limited.

Police say the grim discovery was made on Sunday afternoon, when members of the public stumbled upon the body abandoned in a quarry. Officers responding to the scene made a disturbing discovery — the body was missing the head, raising fears that the killing may have been particularly brutal.

According to investigators, the woman had failed to report to work, prompting concerned colleagues to begin searching for her before the horrifying discovery was made.

Detectives immediately launched investigations into the circumstances surrounding her death as well as the motive behind the killing.

Police sources say the victim’s boyfriend quickly became a person of interest after he went missing shortly after the body was discovered.

In a breakthrough in the investigation, police on Tuesday located the man in Navakholo, Kakamega County, several hundred kilometres from the crime scene.

Investigators are now interrogating the suspect as they piece together the events leading up to the gruesome murder.

Police sources involved in the probe say key evidence was recovered during the arrest, including a blood-stained sweater believed to belong to the suspect.

Detectives also recovered a knife allegedly used in the killing, which the suspect is said to have thrown into a toilet in an attempt to conceal the weapon.

In another shocking development, investigators say the missing head of the victim was found in the suspect’s possession, deepening the mystery surrounding the motive behind the brutal killing.

Authorities are yet to reveal whether the suspect has provided a clear explanation for the disturbing crime.

The body of Jackline Awuor has since been moved to the mortuary, where a post-mortem examination is expected to establish the exact cause of death as investigators continue gathering forensic evidence.
